Rob Zombie directes the Sequal for Halloween.

Rob Zombie is part of the making of the new upcoming movie Halloween 2. this is the first sequel to a remake movie I ever heard of. Rob Zombie has directed some decent movies such as the first Halloween, House of a 1000 Corpses, and the Devil's Rejects. Now that he's making a sequel to Halloween, people are trying to compare Zombie to the original director John Carpenter. Rob Zombie is an ok director but I see him more as an icon. he just has that goth, creepy, rock star look. remakes are usually unsuccessful and zombie is taking a risk to make a sequel out of it. H2 will come on August 28 of this year. in my opinion I think Rob Zombie should just stick to his music because he music is scary but good. hopefully his creepy reputation will not be ruined if his movie is horrible. however people should remember that he id used to be a rock star and he might have learned something from that experience.

My Chemical Romance thinking about a NEW ALBUM!

many people who know about today's rock music, know about the band My Chemical Romance. they are in the making of making a fourth album to their collection. their other albums were "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love," "Three Cheers For Sweet Cheers," and "The Black Parade" which brought them many loving fans. their latest single was a cover of Bob Dylan's Desolation Row which was also featured in the soundtrack of the movie "Watchmen." they wish to release their new album by late 2009 or early 2010. hopefully they will bring as much popularity as their previous albums, "The Black Parade" and "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge." they did a great job in thier single Desolation Row. most covers dont turn better thn their original version but MCR actually made it better then Bob Dylan. during an interview the lead singer Gerard Way mentioned that they arent trying to make a retro album, like many people assume, but a regular rock album that will top The Black Parade. also in that interview they mentioned about a song title called "New Hair, Same Sh**." Way explained that the song will be self explanatory. every MCR fan is waiting for this album to come out.

LP's new single for Transformers soundtrack!!!

we all know about the movie Transformers which came out in the summer of 2007. the sequel will be in theaters june 24 which will have many fans crazy. the official theme song for this popular movie is the new Linkin Park single New Divide. there are 2 versions of the song. one of them with vocals and the other is all instrumental. the one featured in the soundtrack is the instrumental version. in my opinion i think the version featuring the vocals is better and should be featured as the theme song for the movie. so people when watching the new Transformers movie, try to listen to the song New Divide that might be featured in during the movie because it is definatley one of Linkin Park's best singles.

Deftones Upcoming Album

the band Deftones is also one of my favorite bands of all time. they too have another album coming up which i cant wait for. i started listening to deftones since i was 10 years old. the songs which caught my attention were the main hits: Change(In The House of Flies), Engine no.9, Minerva, and Headup. Deftones have not recored an album since their 2006 album Saturday Night Wrist. their new album will be called Eros which is greek for "love." hopefully Deftones will feature heavier music in this new album bacause they do have the aggressiveness to do this. the lead singer Chino Moreno shows off more of his screaming voice in songs like Engine no.9, Headup, My Own Summer, and Rapture. the new album is to be released in October of later this year.

Marilyn Manson's NEW Album

if its not obvious, Marilyn Manson is my favorite band/lead singer. on may 26 of this year he released his 7th studio ablum. the album is calld The High End of Low. this album was much heavier and much better than his previous album Eat Me Drink Me which was just unsuccessful even though it did have its fans. their first singles were arma-g*****n-motherf******'-geddon which came out on may and We're From America which came out on April 17th of this year. just by hearing htese two singles when they came out proved that this album was heavier and had different feelings in the lyrics than Eat Me Drink Me. I am glad that manson made this comeback in his music. when the rest of the songs were released i was even more excited with this album. the best songs ive heard from The High End of Low were "15", "Pretty as a Swastika" and "Leave a Scar."

Rock Bands of the New Millenium

by the new millenium, radio stations and t..v. channels started focusing more on punk and emo bands. the term "emo" was viewed differently in the 1980's and the 1990's. when emo became popular amny teenagers bacame influenced of the new emo bands and the trends that went along with the term. although there was confusion of what the term meant, many people reffer to the music as strong emotions. screamo then became the new subgenre of emo. i enjoy both kinds of new genres. whenever i feel angry or upset or depressed this kind of music helps me just get it all out. some of these new bands became my favorites. bands like My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, and H.I.M. there isnt anything wrong with bands like these because they are just music and they are a good way to express anger or sadness.

Greatest bands of the the millenium:
My Chemical Romance
Avenged Sevenfold
The Used
H.IM.
Metro Station
Bring Me the Horizon

Rock Bands from mid-late 90's

with the end of the grunge era, new genres of rock evloved once again. genres like post grunge, pop punk, nu metal, and punk rock replaced grunge during this time. Faith No More became the first band to combine heavy metal with rap. this inflenced other bands and was the start of the new genre. this genre was was a mixture of grunge, rap, and metal which some people called it "nu metal". these new genres became revolutionary duuring the 90's with many fresh bands being introduced. Bands like Marilyn Manson influened teenegers so act strange in many ways. but in my opinion i'd still say Marilyn Manson and Slipknot are the best bands during this time.

Rock Bands from the early to mid 90's

after the whole glam metal era wore off a new genre of rock emerged and others became more popular in a big way. altrnative rock became mainstream with popular bands. grunge music also started rite before the 80's ended. the early 90's was the time of pop, grunge, alternative and hair metal bands. grunge was a word that related to dirt or filth. grunge is a fusion of post punk and heavy metal. grunge music became popular and was a big impact on rock music in the early 90's. in my opinion, the best bands of this time period are Rage Against the Machine and Nirvana. RATM had the best beats and the best guitar solos by Tom Morrello while Nirvana and their lead singer Kurk Cobain defined the music of grunge.

Rock Bands of the 80's

new genres also emergeed in the 1980's. genres such as arena rock, glam rock, alternative rock, and glam metal. glam metal shocked people with bands' new visual looks. they would wear make up weird outfits and funny hair. lyrics on their songs would include sex drugs and their masculinity. new genreuch as the agressive "thrash metal" attracted many underground fans and influenced bands as well. in my opiniopn the greatest influencial bands would be bands like Metallica and Slayer who started the whole speed metal music. these two bands had guitarists who created and performed the best guitar solos. i actually think the 80's is the era with the best guitar solos because it became revolutionary.
some of the best bands of the 80's:
Metallica
Megadeth
Slayer
Anthrax
Guns N Roses
Iron Maiden
Motorhead
