Rock Bands of the New Millenium

by the new millenium, radio stations and t..v. channels started focusing more on punk and emo bands. the term "emo" was viewed differently in the 1980's and the 1990's. when emo became popular amny teenagers bacame influenced of the new emo bands and the trends that went along with the term. although there was confusion of what the term meant, many people reffer to the music as strong emotions. screamo then became the new subgenre of emo. i enjoy both kinds of new genres. whenever i feel angry or upset or depressed this kind of music helps me just get it all out. some of these new bands became my favorites. bands like My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, and H.I.M. there isnt anything wrong with bands like these because they are just music and they are a good way to express anger or sadness.

Greatest bands of the the millenium:
My Chemical Romance
Avenged Sevenfold
The Used
H.IM.

Rock Bands from mid-late 90's

with the end of the grunge era, new genres of rock evloved once again. genres like post grunge, pop punk, nu metal, and punk rock replaced grunge during this time. Faith No More became the first band to combine heavy metal with rap. this inflenced other bands and was the start of the new genre. this genre was was a mixture of grunge, rap, and metal which some people called it "nu metal". these new genres became revolutionary duuring the 90's with many fresh bands being introduced. Bands like Marilyn Manson influened teenegers so act strange in many ways. but in my opinion i'd still say Marilyn Manson and Slipknot are the best bands during this time.

KoRn
Marilyn Manson

Rock Bands from the early to mid 90's

after the whole glam metal era wore off a new genre of rock emerged and others became more popular in a big way. altrnative rock became mainstream with popular bands. grunge music also started rite before the 80's ended. the early 90's was the time of pop, grunge, alternative and hair metal bands. grunge was a word that related to dirt or filth. grunge is a fusion of post punk and heavy metal. grunge music became popular and was a big impact on rock music in the early 90's. in my opinion, the best bands of this time period are Rage Against the Machine and Nirvana. RATM had the best beats and the best guitar solos by Tom Morrello while Nirvana and their lead singer Kurk Cobain defined the music of grunge.

Rock Bands of the 80's

new genres also emergeed in the 1980's. genres such as arena rock, glam rock, alternative rock, and glam metal. glam metal shocked people with bands' new visual looks. they would wear make up weird outfits and funny hair. lyrics on their songs would include sex drugs and their masculinity. new genreuch as the agressive "thrash metal" attracted many underground fans and influenced bands as well. in my opiniopn the greatest influencial bands would be bands like Metallica and Slayer who started the whole speed metal music. these two bands had guitarists who created and performed the best guitar solos. i actually think the 80's is the era with the best guitar solos because it became revolutionary.
some of the best bands of the 80's:
Metallica
Megadeth
Slayer

Guns N Roses
Iron Maiden
Motorhead
